Good afternoon!!
There is nothing like this time of year when the hallways are bustling with students, classrooms of students learning, and extracurricular activities are in full swing. We have a lot of success at Minco, and we are proud of our accomplishments inthe classroom, athletic fields, show rings, and fine arts venues. This week we get to celebrate who we are: THE MINCO BULLDOGS!!
Homecoming is a great time. We celebrate our students and our heratige. This week we will have our silly olympics on Wednesday afternoon, and this year we are adding a "TAIL-GATE" lunch on Friday for high school and middle school students from 11:30-1:15 PM. Their will be games such as corn-hole and a dunk tank to dunk our favorite people!!
On Thursday night, we will have our homecoming parade at 6:30PM along Main Street followed by a pep rally at the football field. We want to see everybody that can to attend this event. This is a fine little parade and rally that gets us pumped up about the big game on Friday night.
On Friday we have the coronation at 6:00pm followed by the game vs. Watonga at 7:00pm. WE WANT OUR PLACE FULL OF LOUD FANS!! This is a great time for our students and community. I challenge you to make this night very special by showing up and supporting out kids!!
One final event will be the Home Coming Dance at the high school on Saturday night at 7:00PM. What a way to wrap up a great week!! This time of year is special, and we are going to make this a memorable week for our students. HAPPY HOMECOMING 2021!!!
Thank you

Minco Superintendent
Good Afternoon!!
As we are all seeing covid numbers are going up across the state of Oklahoma. Right now, We have no cases of covid in Minco Schools among our students and staff; however, we do have students with family members that have covid and are under quarantine protocols. Even with the numbers that are low, it is imperative that we have a plan in place in the event of a closure should occur.
The OSDE has issued guidance that says if 25% of the student body has an illness such as flu, a closure is warranted. We will be smart and should we see a massive increase in numbers of covid, we will take the appropriate measures necessary. Safety is always important. Please see our plan below in the case a closure is deemed necessary.
Thank you,
Kevin Sims
Minco Superintendent

Minco Patrons,
We are seeing an uptick in Covid cases throughout the community and school district. We are certainly not in panic mode, but we are watching the situation closely. At this point, masks are NOT MANDATORY, but certainly we recommend your children wearing them if you wish them too.
We are sanitizing and cleaning our buildings daily. We are killing the germs the best way we can.
As of right now we are quarantining those that have the virus, and their household family members(siblings). You as a parent may quarantine your children who are exposed to the virus, if you so wish. We will work with you all of the way.
I ask you for your patience and understanding as we work through this together. We are in this together, and we will navigate through this. You have my word that we will be transparent and open about what we have to do to mitigate the virus if the numbers increase. As always, you can email me at ksims@minco.k12.ok.us with any questions.
Thank you,
Kevin Sims
