A sneak peek at the 2021-2022 calendar.
On Thursday night, the JH will play at Amber at 4:00 and the HS will play at 6:30.
There will be 100 tickets granted to us for each session. The coaches will give those tickets to the players tomorrow.
JH tickets are blue and HS tickets are yellow.
Once the JH games end, the gym will be cleared. Only those with HS tickets will be let back in the gym.
If you have tickets for both games, you will only have to pay once., but you will have to leave the gym after the JH game and present your yellow ticket to gain re-entry.
HS fans will not be allowed in the gym until 6:00. If you arrive earlier, you will be waiting outside.
Because of construction, the entrance to the gym is now on the east side.. The north entrance is closed.

On Friday January 8th, Minco Public Schools was informed a middle school student tested positive for Covid-19. Immediately protocol was followed as advised by the Oklahoma State Department of Health. Through contact tracing Minco Administration identified those students who were exposed according to the guidelines of the CDC. As of right now We have 5 confirmed positive cases of the covid -19 and a total of 94 students/staff under quarantine. As of to date in 2021 we have had 5 students and/or staff test positive with a total of 94 students/staff quarantined.
Every measure is being taken to isolate and contain the potential spread of the virus according to the most current guidelines from the CDC and health officials. Minco Public School Administration reminds everyone to continue to follow the appropriate guidelines for preventing the spread COVID-19:
Wear face masks while inside campus buildings and/or anytime social distancing of 6ft cannot be guaranteed
Practice social distancing by maintaining a distance of 6 feet between yourself and others
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
Self-monitor for symptoms prior to reporting to work

Today from 9:00 to 10:00AM we will be passing out 200 food boxes at the North mini stop Gas and Go and Minco High School. First come first serve. Mr. Sims will also be reading the Christmas Story at 10:30AM live on the Minco Public Schools Facebook page.
Friday from 9:00AM to 10:00AM. Minco Public Schools will be distributing 200 food boxes for the Christmas Holidays. We will have food boxes at two locations: Gas n Go on the North side of Minco and Minco High School on the South side of town. It is first come first serve. Thank you, Mr. Sims.

Our school and community have several positive cases of Covid 19 this week. We are taking the following steps in the next two days:
The Elementary will not meet in person until Jan 4th. The next two days will be virtual days only. This is out of an abundance of caution. We will have our Christmas parties after Christmas. This is very important to the children, but right now safety is the number one priority.
In the middle school and high school only those students that need to work on semester tests, etc.. are to go to school Thursday and Friday. If a student has things in their locker and are not testing, they may go to the school between 9:30AM and 11:00AM on Thursday to clean out lockers.
We will dismiss the high school and middle school at 12:30 on Friday.

After talking to the National Weather Service, Minco is expected to get 4 inches of snow with roads heavily impacted by 12:00PM. We WILL NOT meet in person. We will have a virtual day. Students please check emails and Google Classroom. Stay warm and safe!! Mr. Sims
The basketball games will be aired on WWW.MINCOBULLDOGS.TV at 6:30 tonight.
Retakes and Virtual Student Picture day is tomorrow. Virtual students may take their pictures at 10:30AM in the High School Media Center.
This Friday night we have a home basketball game. To get in you must have a pass given to you by a student athlete. You will present the pass to purchase a ticket. If you do not have a pass, you cannot purchase a ticket. We are limiting capacity to 25% for covid restrictions. Thank you for your cooperation. Mr. Sims

Guidelines for Basketball 2020-21
(These requirements will be evaluated each week as Covid numbers change)
We want to welcome everyone to Minco Public Schools in Minco, Ok for the 2020-2021 Basketball season. This year with Covid-19 making impacts on our communities, we have put the following guidelines in place for our athletic events at the gymnasium. These guidelines are in place to keep you as safe as possible while watching athletic events here in Minco. Thank you for your cooperation.
At home events we will be issuing tickets to the athletes competing from Minco and the visiting team. We will be issuing 4 tickets per athlete and coach for each respective team. Our gym seats 1050 people at full capacity, these tickets will keep our capacity below 30% during the games. You must have a designated ticket for the event or you will not be allowed in the facility!!!
Social Distancing is necessary and in effect at athletic events. MASKS WILL BE MANDATORY UPON ENTERING THE GYM AND MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES. (Masks will not be provided by the Minco school district)
Students/Children MUST remain in the stands during the games and be accompanied by an adult upon entry.
There will be no loitering in the lobbies of the gymnasium.
Concession Stand will only serve bottled water/ bottled soft drinks/ bottled gatorade/ packaged food items and prepackaged popcorn. Concession stand workers will be wearing masks and gloves.
Home spectators will sit only on the home side, and visitors will sit on the visitor side.
Sportsmanship is very important at Minco Schools, but at this current time we feel it is important for both teams to make their way to their respective locker rooms immediately after the game is completed and avoid handshake lines at the conclusion of the contests.
We will not be allowing visitors to bring a cheer team to our gym this season and our cheer team will not be traveling to away games this year and Minco will have no more than 12 cheerleaders at home games.
As soon as the game is over, we ask that you exit the gymnasium promptly- please no congregating near exits or entryways in the gym.
Locker rooms will be deep cleaned before use and basketballs and equipment will be kept sanitized for contests.
